Andrea O'Reilly

MSW, RSW, CCTP, CGP Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Founder & Executive Director

Andrea O’Reilly is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Grief Education & Training. Her clinical work focuses on supporting people through grief, trauma, and life-changing loss using an approach that is relational, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience. Andrea founded the Center in response to a need for professional grief education that moves beyond stages, timelines, and prescriptive models. She is committed to helping professionals understand grief as a complex, embodied, relational, and culturally shaped experience—and to translating contemporary grief and trauma knowledge into practical, compassionate care. Alongside her leadership of the Center, Andrea maintains a psychotherapy practice and brings that real-world clinical perspective into the development of each training program. Her teaching approach is thoughtful, accessible, and grounded in the belief that supporting grieving people well requires more than the right words. It requires knowledge, humility, and the capacity to remain present with experiences that cannot be fixed.
